Spain and France Summer of 2023

Get ready to travel to Europe again! The D’Alba’s are heading to Spain and France! We’ll visit Barcelona, the Costa Brava Region in Northeast Spain and the Occitanie Region of Southern France for 10 days in late June and early July 2023.

Begur, Spain

Our home base for six night is a VRBO house about an hour and a half north of Barcelona and just outside of the small historic town of Begur, in the Costa Bravo Region of Spain. We’ll explore small towns and enjoy the scenic area that hugs the coastline and overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.

Carcassone, France

We’ll spend two days exploring the small villages in the Occitanie Region of southern France. We’ll stay in the small medieval and walled city of Carcassone, but find our way thru small towns as we enjoy the beautiful landscape of the countryside to get there.

Some of the villages we may visit include Perpignan, Saint-Guilhem-le-desert, Pezenas, Lagrasse, and Collieoure.

Crab Orchard Falls Trail. Discovered this great new waterfall. Nice trail, about 1.5 mi total out and back. Best thing is it’s only about a mile from Mast General Store. Will be adding it to our best waterfalls list on the web site! Valle Cruci
Winter fun at App Ski Mtn. Took the kids skiing for the first time. Ski school is awesome- had them on a blue trail in about 45 mins! Only 10 mins from the cabin so we were able to go back and relax for a few hrs before going back for night skiing. S
